Riftwake Guide: Headquarters, Sweet Headquarters

X-Isle might have a ship-wrecking storm surrounding it, but GRAIL has the Riftwake. There’s no need to weather a storm if you can just go under it, and the submarine sails beneath the crashing waves carrying everything a Renegade needs to plan their hunts and explore the mysterious island beyond the tempest.

As the headquarters of GRAIL’s operations, the Riftwake is fitted with plenty of areas to prepare, upgrade, and hone your Renegade skills before putting them to the test. From Vendors where you can purchase and upgrade your equipment to the fully equipped Shooting Range, and even your cozy Quarters, this guide takes a look at all the Riftwake has to offer.

SHOPS AND VENDORS

There are plenty of vendors around the Riftwake. On the Ground Floor of the deck, you’ll find the Renegade Pass Rewards Vendor and the In-Game Shop to purchase GE-0 Cash and Customizations for yourTraverser, Hoverboard, outfits, weapons, and more.

GE-0

GE-0 is GRAIL’s robotic Quartermaster and the personification of the Riftwake itself. He moves faster than a flash between his two stations, but you’ll never have a hard time catching him. Renegades will find him a useful vendor to cash in their Artifacts and Trinkets in exchange for Wonderium and Hawks. He sells Gears, Boosters, Cosmetics, and Artifacts, while also upgrading Gears and Artifacts for a fair price!

QUARTERS

On the left side of the Ground Floor, is the entrance to your Quarters, where you’ll find a bunch of useful features to help you prepare for your next hunt.

The Customization Station stores all your styles and appearance options. It’s where you change your character features, as well as switch out your Outfits, Weapon Patterns, Hoverboards, Traversers, and Backpacks.

Here, you can also replay the Tutorial to refresh your memory on Renegade basics along with a quick bite at the launch table

The Loadout Station stores all your Gear, Artifacts, and Boosters. Prepare your Loadout to make sure you’re good and ready for the hunts ahead.

Not up to anything specific? We still recommend visiting your Quarters even if it’s just to jam out some guitar riffs while watching the sharks swim by.

SHOOTING RANGE

There’s plenty of firepower to go around. The Shooting Range is the best place to familiarize yourself with the specifics of each weapon while also getting in some practice before you head to X-Isle. Every weapon in HAWKED is available to try out here, including a complete selection of Foods, Mods, and ammo stations.

Targets are propped up near and far throughout the Shooting Range at 10m, 30m, 50m, 75m, and 100m distances. You’ll also find targets with varying HP to measure up and balance out your weapon damage output.

Though there are plenty of stationary targets, combat on X-Isle is rarely motionless, so there’s plenty of movement variety between different targets. You’ll also find a few swinging blade traps around the Range to test on surrounding targets.

Target Trial is perfect for a bit of competition. Press the yellow button at the center front of the weapon station to summon a variety of targets in waves. Shoot them down as fast as you can, and compare your score with your friends and fellow Renegades.

Vantage Points are also set up around the Range. You can grapple up to them by using your Traverser above the Exit, or by climbing up from the left or right side of the Arena.

On a final note, besides acting as a base of operations for Renegades, the Riftwake also features the perfect set-ups to chill after a hunt. With high-up parkour courses around the deck with plenty of vantage points. There’s also a disco floor and poolside lounge complete with a lifeguard chair (bet you can’t jump into it!).
