UNLEASH NEW EXO GEAR & WARD GEAR
- [Ward Gear] Loaded D20 (GRAIL Level II Required)
- Some of GRAIL's greatest inventions come in the form of happy accidents. Or in this case, an attempt to cheat. In an effort to win a tournament of their favorite tabletop game, a GRAIL engineer loaded a set of dice with Wonderium, hoping it would turn the odds in their favor. The engineer received a commendation for their unexpected creation and a lifetime ban from any future tournaments.
- Common: When activated, the Loaded D20 grants you a random positive Glyph effect for 25/30/35 seconds.
- Rare: You get a chance for a lucky roll, which doubles Loaded D20’s duration and reduces the next cooldown to 3 seconds.
- Legendary: Chances for a lucky roll are increased.
- [Exo Gear] DEVOIDER (GRAIL Level IV Required)
- This reclaimed piece of VEKTR tech shows just how advanced the shadow organization really is. Some of GRAIL's brightest minds spent all night trying to understand how VEKTR managed to create a gauntlet capable of gravity manipulation—only to arrive at the conclusion that "THOSE WEIRDOS BROKE OUTER SPACE." More of an accusation, really.
- Common: Create a gravitational anomaly that pulls enemies within its radius of 6/7/8 meters and inflicts them with a Slowed Debuff. Anomaly appears with a delay of 2 seconds and lasts for 6 seconds.
- Rare: Anomaly duration increased to 8 seconds.
- Legendary: The anomaly reduces the maximum Health of enemies within its radius by 15.
- [Ward Gear] Bang-O-Matic (GRAIL Level VI Required)
- Are you tired of collecting ammo off the dirty ground? Fingers cramping from always having to reload? Then look no further! With the Bang-O-Matic, you'll bring unbridled, unlimited destruction to your enemies with ease! (WARNING: the Bang-O-Matic is known to spontaneously explode. GRAIL is not liable for any injuries inflicted while using this device.)
- Common: Deploying the Bang-O-Matic provides you and your allies with unlimited ammunition and ensures no weapon will overheat. Once deployed, the Bang-O-Matic will reset cooldowns and overheating every 1 second, and remain active for 10/12/14 seconds. You and your allies must stay within a 6m radius of the device to receive its ability.
- Rare: The Bang-O-Matic explodes after a short delay, dealing up to 80 damage depending on distance.
- Legendary: Bang-O-Matic effective radius is increased to 8m.
- [Exo Gear] Blockade Ram (GRAIL Level VIII Required)
- GRAIL recently had a Take Your Kid to Work Day. It was a really bad idea. Kids shouldn't be on submarines. They touch everything. Some even snuck into R&D and drew all over the plans for new Gear. The next day, when the engineers saw a drawing of a medieval knight on the plans, they thought it was a Gear request from management. So anyway, the Renegades have a shield now.
- Common: Wield an impenetrable shield. The shield's duration lasts for 5/6/7 seconds, depending on available Gear charges. Charges fully restore after a 12-second cooldown.
- Rare: Perform a shield attack by expending all remaining charges. The attack will inflict enemies with damage and a stun debuff.
- Legendary: Charges drain 100% slower when standing still.
WIELD FUTURISTIC WEAPONRY
- [Sniper Rifle] Twin Eclipse: Charged-burst, uses Energy Ammo. How do you make a dual-blasting, burst-firing sniper rifle even more lethal? Slap a silencer on it.
- [Shotgun] Solar Flare: Uses Energy Ammo. Like a burst of energy from the sun's surface, this shotgun is known for its intensity. It fires in a horizontal blast pattern, cutting down enemies right through the middle.
- [Unique Weapon] Pulsar: Grenade launcher, uses Energy Ammo. Capable of firing clusters of energy-based explosives, the Pulsar is a big hit among Renegades who leave nothing in their wake. When unleashing its payload, be sure to keep your distance. The Pulsar doesn't choose sides.
- [Assault Rifle] FARpoint 15: Semi-automatic, uses Efficient Ammo. This single-shot rifle is used in shooting competitions across the world. Known for its incredible accuracy, it's no surprise GRAIL has added it to the Renegade arsenal.
- [Assault Rifle] Satyr: Burst-fire, uses Plain Ammo. When a single shot won't suffice, turn to the Satyr. It fires dual-shot bursts, guaranteeing constant compliance with the ‘Double-Tap’ rule.
- [Assault Rifle] BTAR 33: Fully-automatic, uses Plain Ammo. If you're in need of an assault rifle that will never let up, the BTAR 33 is for you. This weapon is the pride of the arms manufacturers who sit on GRAIL's Board of Directors.
EXPLORE NEW & ALTERED LOCATIONS
VEKTR has conquered and corrupted many locations across X-Isle, including the Riftwake itself! Venture into the Beacon, Feeding Grounds, and Garrharbor to battle VEKTR, and roam X-Isle to take over their menacing Outposts and Depots.
- VEKTR Depots: Located in various parts of the map, they can only be opened using a Datakey. These can be found by defeating Champion DELTA units.
- VEKTR Outposts: These imposing fortresses can be captured to unlock your own personal, fortified Extraction Points, along with a unique Shop.
CONTEND WITH NEW ENCOUNTERS & LOOT MORE ARTIFACTS
VEKTR might be closing in, but there have never been more ways to hunt on X-Isle, and the loot pools have never been deeper. Put on your puzzling hat for new Encounters:
- Quest Encounter: Be on the lookout for GRAIL’s esteemed members across X-Isle. Chat with them to take on their special Quests, for which you may be rewarded with a Glyph. If you’re lucky, they might have a little more treasure for you too, and maybe even an Artifact!
- Laser Reflector: Adjust the angle of reflective panels to guide the laser beam into the Glyph's pedestal.
- 3-Step Authenticator: Forgotten the password? Shoot the crystals hanging above the puzzle area to unlock the laser gate around the Glyph.
- Turret Gauntlet: Stand strong in the assault zone to begin powering the monument.
- DELTA Takedown: Shoot the batteries to release the DELTA unit… and take it out!
If you’re seeking riches, you’ll find six new Artifacts in X-Isle’s treasure caches, plus a host of returning loot:
- [Artifact] Ballistic Bag
- This magical bag of bounty is pretty good at holding ammunition, hinting to its origins as a war-time provisioner. Its inability to produce an infinite supply of snacks has been lamented by Bjorn on many occasions.
- Common: Holstered weapons automatically reload/cool down after 3.5/3.1/2.7/2.3 seconds. You need sufficient ammo in your inventory for the ability to trigger.
- Legendary: The Artifact's ability will trigger without the need for sufficient ammo in your inventory.
- [Artifact] Specter's Gaze
- Several GRAIL scientists have reported severe cases of the "heebie-jeebies" from staring into this Artifact’s eye for too long. The existence of such an otherworldly entity would support the Fringe theory that X-Isle's lost people had a door into other dimensions, where all sorts of wonders (and perhaps horrors) awaited.
- Common: You take 25/28/31/34% less damage while invisible or disguised. When ammo is depleted or a weapon overheats, it grants you invisibility and reloads/cools the depleted weapon.
- Legendary: Become invisible while knocked down.
- [Artifact] Maelstrom
- Evidence strongly indicates that the lost people tried many different ways of overcoming the storm that trapped them on X-Isle. This Artifact may be the unexpected result of one of those failed attempts. With the ability to capture lightning, the Maelstrom serves as a battery of sorts. Could it be that the lost people had a primitive form of electricity? What would require such power?
- Common: Increases the active duration and damage of your Gear by 9/10/11/12% per charge. You receive one charge for each empty weapon slot.
- Legendary: Wielding or carrying Armaments no longer limits the number of Artifact charges.
- [Artifact] Apex Prize
- GRAIL believes this Artifact is not just a vessel of power, but also a trophy. In the times before their civilization was overrun, the lost people enjoyed a life of music, discovery, and games. There was no greater game than the annual race to the top of the island's volcano. Each year, this Artifact was awarded to the winner of that fiery footrace.
- Common: When attacking enemies from above, your shots become Empowered, increasing their damage dealt. The more vertical distance between you and your target, the deadlier your Empowered shots become. Maximum damage bonus is capped at 20%, achieved at a set vertical distance of 13/12/11/10m from the target. Empowered shot bonuses from other sources do not stack.
- Legendary: Firing a weapon while falling or from a zipline reduces bullet spread and recoil.
- [Artifact] Scallop Shield
- The beautiful craftsmanship of this shield shows that the lost people were artisans before the Disciple invasion forced them to become warriors. The beautiful shells were sourced from X-Isle's golden shores. The colorful feathers are said to be the plumage of a local bird, one that the Disciples probably found to be quite tasty…
- Common: Increases your maximum Shield by 20. Performing any offensive action triggers a cooldown of 12/10.5/9/7.5 seconds until the maximum Shield can be raised again.
- Legendary: Maximum Shield bonus increased to 30.
- [Artifact] Boonie
- Renegades say they can hear cheers from inside the totem, as if the revels of the lost civilization live on within Boonie. Similar reports claim voices (and sometimes growls) can be heard emanating from the much larger totems strewn across the island, suggesting the totems have a link to echoes from the past.
- Common: Restores 1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6 Health per second for every active Buff you have. After losing health, the Artifact enters a cooldown of 2 seconds.
- Legendary: Your maximum health is increased by 4 for every active Buff you have.
DYNAMIC PVE EVENT: TRAITOR
A sinister NPC working for VEKTR may try to attack you and steal your loot! Catch him before he disappears to retrieve what you've lost and to take his loot yourself.
CLAIM LOOT FROM AIR DROPS
To aid Renegades as they strike back against VEKTR, GRAIL will send Air Drops throughout matches that contain powerful loot. Watch out, they’re sure to be hotly contested!
Based on feedback from the Issue #2 Playtest, we improved rewards in the first and second Air Drops, which will spawn closer to where Renegades are. We also increased your chances of getting Armaments from all Air Drops.

BALANCE IMPROVEMENTS & ADJUSTMENTS
ARTIFACT BALANCING & CHANGES
- [Artifact] Collar of Scorn - Reworked
- Base: The more health an enemy you defeat has, the higher the chance it will drop trophies that increase your maximum Health by 1. You can claim up to 25 trophies and lose 80/70/60/50% of them upon defeat.
- New Legendary Upgrade: The maximum number of trophies is increased to 35.
- [Artifact] Dual-Edgend
- The default charge has been removed from its description due to a change in the number of simultaneously carried weapons, and the appearance of a separate slot for Armaments.
- [Artifact] Pulverizer
- Charge time changed from 1.4/1.2/1/0.8 seconds to 1.3/1.2/1.1/1 seconds.

- Legendary: Highlight distance is increased to 40m. Enemies leave more footprints.
- [Artifact] Ambusher - Reworked
