LEGENDS RISE IN VENTURE 2!

LIKE CATCHING SMOKE: NEW WARD GEAR

SMOKE BLAST (WARD GEAR): GRAIL LEVEL IX

GRAIL set out to design a device that could enable Renegades to quickly separate themselves from aggressors. The smokescreen effect was an unexpected addition due to a malfunction in the prototype. But you know what they say: it's not a bug, it's a feature!

If they can't press you, they can't stress you. Here’s what the Smoke Blast is capable of:

  • Creates a 5/5.5/6 m radius smokescreen. Enemies inside or near the radius will be knocked back 2m outside the radius. The smokescreen lasts for 8 seconds.
  • The smokescreen grants a disguised status if you do not commit any offensive actions while inside the radius. The visual effect of the smokescreen is diminished for you and your teammates.
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Rare Upgrade: Knock-back distance increased to 4m.
  • Legendary Upgrade: Smokescreen duration increased to 10 seconds.

LOOT THREE NEW ARTIFACTS

Don’t like VEKTR get their hands on them. Three new Artifacts are yours extract, upgrade, and add to your Loadout with all-new abilities.

  • [Artifact] Serpent’s Solace: Drink from the well of wellbeing.Of the many Artifacts with reptilian design, this offering bowl is the most perplexing. Evidence indicates this bowl was used to source water from deep-running wells across X-Isle. As the lost people believed their deity was resting beneath the island itself, surely it would be a great privilege to drink directly from the source.
    • Common Quality: Serpent's Solace increases incoming healing by 50%. Healing is increased by consuming an equal amount of charges. The Artifact restores 0.7/0.8/0.9/1 charge(s) per second and can store up to 50 charge(s). The Artifact does not trigger when you are knocked down.
    • Legendary Quality: While in water or traveling by hoverboard, Serpent's Solace restores 2 charges per second and its healing bonus increases to 100%.
    • Location: Quest Reward
  • [Artifact] Pioneer’s Piton: Make your first strike the last. Before his betrayal, Bodhi provided a solid theory as to the original use of this Artifact. Shoved into the cracks of a mountainside, the lost people could use this tool to ascend the high peaks of X-Isle. Otherwise, it would be a long drop to the bottom.
    • Common Quality: When you sprint for at least 1 second or perform a dodge roll, your next melee attack will deal 15 more damage and disorient the target for 2/2.3/2.6/3 seconds.
    • Legendary Quality: Bonus melee damage increased to 25.
    • Location: Found Across X-Isle
  • [Artifact] Revenger’s Lamp: Light the way to vengeance. A higher form of the oil lamp Trinkets found across X-Isle, this Artifact does more than just light the way. As more evidence indicates some sort of civil war between the lost people, surely this lamp was used to mount a quick counter-offensive against shadowy ambushes.
    • Common Quality: Highlights an enemy for 1.8/2/2.2/2.4 seconds after taking damage from them.
    • Legendary Quality: If an enemy has highlighted you, they too become highlighted for the same duration.
    • Location: Found Across X-Isle

WIELD NEW WEAPONS

GRAIL is making sure Renegades are well-equipped for the fights ahead:

  • Brimstone: This revolver boasts shotgun-like, high-power punishment in the form of five low-spread spray shots.
  • Gundog: Alternate between lightly tapping for restrained burst fire and holding down the trigger on this SMG.

CONTEND WITH NEW ENCOUNTERS

More Encounters have joined the roster. Keep an eye out for them as you’re hunting for Glyphs!

  • The Curator
  • The Delta Diva
  • Double Agent
  • Fauna Fowl-up
  • Let it Go
  • The Neutralizer

Several existing Encounters have also been changed:

  • Pylon Power-up: Added a new variation of the Encounter.
  • Pattern Door: Added a new variation of the Encounter with a new puzzle type. Additionally, VEKTR variations of the puzzle can be found in locations under VEKTR control.
  • Rotating Runes: Added a new variation of the Encounter that has been overtaken and defiled by VEKTR.

EXPLORE NEW & CHANGED POINTS OF INTEREST

As VEKTR advances across X-Isle, tightening its metallic fist, more areas have fallen to their tyranny. But you might be able to use a few things to your advantage:

  • Alarm Towers have appeared on the map. Maybe you should take them out?
  • River Village, the Training Halls, and Mountain Temple have been overrun by VEKTR forces.
  • Familiars have been captured by VEKTR, and can be found throughout their strongholds.
  • A new Outpost has been erected.
  • VEKTR geocaches can be found across X-Isle.
  • Radars that scan the area have been added to VEKTR structures.
  • VEKTR troops have been dispatched to new locations. Yes, a fishing hut is an important strategic foothold, why do you ask?
  • Defence Modules have appeared across X-Isle. Firing at them activates a temporary protective dome around it, allowing you to fire out from it while remaining shielded inside.
  • Interacting with the console on the first floor of a VEKTR Outpost will reveal the position of the nearest enemies and weapon chests.

WANTED: AGENT KAPPA

Agent Kappa is an infamous Renegade who betrayed GRAIL, and now roams X-Isle searching for former allies to pick off. You can meet Agent Kappa in the wilds and either skilfully avoid him to stay out of close combat (where he excels), or face him head-on.

Kappa has a Scout Drone that can detect rivals at a distance, help in pursuit, and restore Shields to its master. It can even summon an entourage that helps tip the scales in Kappa’s favor!

Kappa is equipped with weapons including a pair of energy cannons, a shotgun, and a Pulsar, which he actively uses for ranged attacks. If he manages to catch you with his Devoider, he’ll shred you senseless with his Shock Rocker, so watch out!

Defeating Agent Kappa will reward you with an Epic Weapon and an Artifact. Best of luck, Renegades!

LIMITED-TIME MODE: WONDER RUSH RETURNS

Wonderium veins are popping up around X-Isle! Get out there and mine as much Wonderium as you can in Wonder Rush, as the Limited-Time PVP Duo Mode returns from June 28 until July 13.

We added the ability to disable crossplay via in-game settings on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

FIND A NEW GLYPH

  • [Glyph] Predator: Your first hit with a weapon against a target is always Empowered. This effect can only be reactivated on the same target if you have not hit it for a certain amount of time. Empowered shot bonuses from other sources do not stack.
